Is your summer going by too fast? Are the days just flying by? Let’s slow it all down and become SNAILS! These peaceful critters are known for their hard shells and slow-moving pace! In today’s craft, we are going to transform an everyday egg carton into some adorable snail friends.

Craft Instructions
1) First, take your egg carton and cut out one section to use for your snail shell. Make sure to save the rest of the shells so you can use them later. You can either choose to colour your snail shell now, or you can wait until you have attached your pipe cleaner.
2) Next, take your pipe cleaner and make a small loop in the middle. Once you have your loop, push it into the top of your egg carton shell. Adjust the size of the loop until it fits in the top circle of your shell as you can see below. Once you have the right fit, add some white glue to your pipe cleaner and press it to the top of your shell.
3) Now that your snail’s body is in its shell, take the longer end of your pipe cleaner and wrap it around with a circle. Then fold the circle down into a V shape. As you can see, this is when we coloured our snail shell.
4) For your last step, take some glue and attach your eyes to the V. Wait for your eyes to dry and you have a new snail friend. What is their name? What do they like to do for fun? Do they have a snail of a tale to tell?
