It can be hard to come up with crafts for Father's Day that students will enjoy making and that Dads will enjoy receiving. Let's be honest, does anyone really use paperweights? We have compiled a list of gifts for Dad that teach students new skills, are fun to make, and we guarantee Dad will love.
1. Dough or Clay Picture Frame
This picture frame can be made with a variety of clays or doughs based on the age of your class. Scholar's Choice carries Air Dry Clay that doesn't need to be baked in a kiln, and can be painted. You can also make your own salt dough beforehand, or let students practice their mixing and measuring by letting them make it themselves. Salt dough needs to be baked, so this way is probably better for a smaller class size.

2. "My Dad Rocks" Card
This cute little card would be perfect paired with a science geology unit! Encourage students to choose their Dad's favorite shirt, sports jersey, or item of clothing and recreate it for an extra challenge.

3. Origami Shirt Card
This project is great for older students as it adds a more tricky element, origami! Once you have folded your shirts, let students decorate them to look like what their Dad likes to wear, then attach a school photo to the inside. Beautiful!

4. Scratch Art Family Portrait
This project can be done using Scratch Art Paper from Scholar's Choice, or you and the class can make your own with crayons and black tempera paint.
