Every Child Deserves Clean Air

The government has committed more than $600 million to date for ventilation improvements across Ontario schools.

Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce announced $25 million will be put toward adding approximately 20,000 new standalone HEPA units to help schools in the fight against COVID-19

It is recorded that up to 70% Of schools in Ontario have mechanical ventilation systems and require High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) units. So it is important to know if YOUR school needs them.

The additional funding will help ensure that all classrooms, libraries, and gyms with mechanical ventilation systems, will have HEPA units when children return to their classrooms in September. Helping to keep every child safe when schools reopen for the new year.

The importance of clean air and the need to ensure our children has access to clean air goes beyond Ontario. Regardless of provincial funding, having a HEPA unit is something every school needs to consider for their classrooms.
