Learning through play is what our infants and toddlers do best!
It is important to include toys and manipulatives that offer young children many learning moments as they frequently move from activity to activitiy.
Here are three helpful tips to enrich your infant toddler space:
1. Follow the child
Let their interests guide you as you set up provocations in your classroom. Children will let you know very quickly which items spark their interest, so let them tell you!
2. Give them room
Infants and toddlers need space to move, crawl, and walk. Be sure your room has ample opportunities for your little ones to practice their gross motor skills.
3. Sensory experiences are key
Offer a variety of textures, shapes, smells, and reflective surfaces for children to interact with.
